Under the Affordable Care Act, individuals and employees of small businesses will have access to insurance coverage through health insurance exchanges. Open enrollment under the Exchanges opens Oct. 1, 2013.
Employers are required to provide all new hires and current employees with a written notice about ACA’s Exchanges.
To ease employer burdern, the DOL released Model Exchange Notices that can be used to satify the requirement. In order to be in compliance employers must provide employees with an Exchange notice by Oct. 1, 2013.
